Per Diem Telemedicine Training Faculty

April 1, 2011

AMD is seeking a per diem Registered Nurse to join our telemedicine training faculty.  The telemedicine training nurse will be responsible for developing and implementing AMD’s telemedicine training courses.  In this position you will provide education and training to AMD’s clients on the complete line of AMD’s telemedicine devices and solutions. 

AMD training sessions are customized for each client’s needs and medical devices.  Candidates would need to provide instruction in the many aspects of telemedicine patient encounters including: 

  • Clinical telemedicine services
  • Telecommunications and infrastructure development/operations
  • Patient evaluation
  • Telemedicine Equipment demonstration

Candidates for this position must possess strong clinical assessment skills and a high level of professional accountability.   

Qualifications:

In addition to strong clinical ability and experience, this position requires strong professional communication and presentation skills. Proven ability to build positive business relationships with all levels of medical/clinical personnel is required. Demonstrated problem resolution skills with ability to communicate effectively and influence desired outcomes required. Able to provide a consistently high level of customer service.

Education:

BS preferred from an accredited nursing school.

Experience:

Experience with supporting customers and patients in a courteous manner.  Experience in coordinating and providing educational programs is also necessary.Experience with telemedicine is a plus.

Requirements: 

  • Knowledge and expertise with medical devices.
  • Knowledge of or experience with video conferencing a plus. 
  • Excellent organizational, time management, interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel desirable.
  • Past telemedicine nursing experience a plus.
  • Travel Required
  • Ability to demonstrate effective critical thinking skills. 
  • Ability to problem solve independently.

IT/Support Engineering

The IT/Support Engineer position is a great mid level position for someone looking to advance their career in the IT field.  The primary responsibility of the IT/Support Engineer is to act as a technical resource to customers and sales staff as well as all other organizations in the company. 

This role will include but is not limited to the following:

  • Providing hands-on desktop support with strong phone support responsibilities to customers and employees via phone, e-mail and at the desktop
  • Working with sales to design software/hardware solutions for customers
  • Assist sales in presenting solutions to customers
  • Independently or as part of a team, design, develop and manage delivery of these solutions
  • Managing and maintaining the AMD Executive Briefing/Demonstration facility
  • Assisting in the maintenance and design of the company network infrastructure including video conferencing
  • Assisting customers on the telephone as well as at customer locations
  • Documenting all support work into the support tracking database system.

Requirements:

  • A 2-4 year technical/college degree and 3-5 years of experience
  • MCP/MCSE2008/A+/Network+/MCTS/MCITP certifications a plus
  • Project management skills, installation/implementation documentation
  • Familiarity with any or all of the following;
    • Audio processing/Video conferencing technologies
    • SQL Database administration
    • Medical devices
    • Microsoft SBS2008
    • Network administration(SMTP server, routers/switches, firewalls,  AP’s)
    • Exchange 2007 Admin
    • VOIP phone systems
    • Web Server audio/video technologies
  • Must be eager to learn, to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with the ability to maintain a professional demeanor when handling complex user issues
  • Excellent customer service/phone support skills

Sales Account Manager, Program Design Group

The Sales Account Manager role is a critical function within our organization.  We are looking for an ambitious person who possesses the drive and determination to achieve individual and corporate goals while working in a team environment.

 Must have demonstrated proficiency using consultative sales techniques within a complex, capital equipment sales environment.  The ideal candidate will have; account management skills, Medical Software Application sales(EMR/PACS), audio/visual equipment sales, or medical device sales knowledge and a bachelor’s degree in science or related medical or biological field.  

Job Responsibility Overview:

Maximize Solution Sales in North America by:

  • Prospecting
  • Managing leads
  • Managing Sales Cycle
  • Expansion of existing customer base as well as new lead generation
  • Visiting customer site
  • Presenting, both via video and at customer sites
  • Creating responses to RFP’s
  • Attending tradeshows
  • Travel within North America required
 

Skill / Ability / Knowledge Requirements: PC Software Applications (Microsoft Office Suite).  Knowledge of customer management databases is a plus.
